Students who concentrate in the University
of Maryland History Department's Gender and
Women's History field have the opportunity
to undertake challenging coursework and pursue
exciting research in gender history in collaboration
with well-known scholars in the U.S., European,
Latin American, East Asian, Middle Eastern,
and African fields. Both graduate and undergraduate
students of women's and gender history will
find the program's intellectual support and
scholarly resources to be without peer.
Students working in women's and gender history
are members of a Department committed to excellence
