| Orientation |
Each year, at the end of August, an orientation program for all new university faculty is held. The program is for all new faculty (all ranks of professors, lecturers, research faculty, extension agents, visiting faculty) who have begun at the university in the past twelve months. This year, New Faculty Orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 28th from 8:15 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. |
| Directory ID |
Your Directory ID is used to log in to a number of on-line systems at the University. You must exist in PHR to obtain a directory ID. |

| Photo ID |
First Floor Lobby of the Mitchell Building. ID cards enable you to: access campus buildings such as residence halls and some classroom buildings, access library and information services, as a photo copy card, as a Dining Services meal plan card at campus dining halls and area eateries, serve as your Terrapin Express debit card for on campus eateries and retailers, obtain athletic tickets (using the barcode on the reverse of your card),
access campus recreational facilities, gain admission to campus sponsored events, ride the University's Shuttle bus, receive discounts at some area vendors. |

| Phones |
Each faculty with an office will receive a phone and phone number. Long distance charges are checked monthly. Any excessive long distance charges will be printed and forwarded to the faculty member for explanation or payment. |

| UMEG |
UMEG was developed by SAS to allow faculty to obtain classlists electronically at the beginning of a semester, and also enter grades at the end of a semester. Faculty can also create Email reflectors. Requires Directory ID |

| Syllabus Guidelines |
On the first day of class, instructors are expected to distribute a course syllabus. Please remember to supply a copy of your syllabus to the Main Office in Key 2115. |
| Book Adoptions |
Karen Rowe (54263) handles book adoption and ordering for the department. University Book Center information, Book Exchange information. |
| Library Information |
There are many libraries on campus as well as borrowing privileges at other UM institutions, privileges at Other Research Libraries, and access to online journals |
| Photocopying |
A copy machine is located in each building for Faculty use (TLF2106, Key2114). Courtenay Lanier or Darlene King will provide a code for access. The copy machine is to be used for copies less than 11. Please use digital duplicator located in Key2114 for larger numbers. |
| Course packets |
BelJean offers to build course packets, for students, of out of print books. |
| Ordering supplies |
