ASIAN AMERICAN STUDIES AT
MARYLAND
The
University of Maryland, located in the Washington DC
area, offers strong resources for
studying Asian American history, including the largest
Asian American Studies program in the Southern
Mid-Atlantic Region. Students
also have access to the outstanding research and policy
institutions located in the Washington, D.C. Area. The
local Asian Pacific American (APA) population of greater
Washington is growing and vibrant. According to
the 2000 census, Washington is now the fifth largest metropolitan APA
population center in the United States.
