If you received your Ph.D. within the last five years (since academic year 1998-1999) you are invited to submit a paper proposal for a special panel showcasing the work of recent graduates. The purposes of the panel are to give the best new scholars the opportunity to present themselves to the field, and the members of our field the opportunity to see the scholarship that will lead to important publication in the future. Reflecting the thrust of this conference you are urged to relate your studies to questions of larger significance that will interest a broad audience. A sub-committee of the program committee will select two or three papers from among the submissions. The conference will fund travel and hotel costs for those chosen for the panel.
Submission Deadline: 1 January 2004
Paper proposals must include a cover sheet in the format provided below, a five page proposal, and a resume of not more than two pages. Proposals must be submitted by email to both Col. Kenneth Hamburger (kenh@warwick.net) and Prof. Kathleen Williams (kbbwilliam@aol.com). Applicants will be notified of the sub-committee’s decision by 1 February 2004.
